Current research focus on developing chromatographic and mass spectrometric methods: 1) to identify and quantify toxic chemicals for food safety testing; 2) to study chemically- and physically-induced damage to biological macromolecules, such as DNA, RNA, and proteins, that related to human diseases; and 3) to investigate the biological consequences of external stimuli by using a systematic metabolomics approach.
